Critical Rescue International (CRI) is the first national advanced medical paramedic company in Nigeria. We are registered in Nigeria and were incorporated in October 2001, our main objective is to provide emergency communication services, pre-hospital and hospital emergency care. We are in business to manage medical emergencies where and whenever they occur in our areas of operation.
Our Management team has as mmembers, highly qualified professionals from divers backgrounds who are geared towards delivering quality medical service.
Debbie Meyer is an Advanced Life Support Paramedic, with more than 14 years of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) experience, before joining CRI as a pioneer staff in 2001.
She obtained her training through the Natal Provisional Administration, Natal Technicon and qualified in 1992. She worked on the Natal Provisional helicopter as flight paramedic and was actively involved in fix wing air ambulance operations and commercial medical escorts of patients abroad.
Prior to her appointment in CRI, she was a member of Netcare 911 in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, managing their Durban branch. Her duties included management of operational staff, fleet ambulance management, special events standbys, marketing and quality control. She has since acquired extensive experience in primary responses and the treatment of the critically ill/ injured patient.
She is currently the Head Pre Hospital Services arm of CRI and her duties as Head of Pre Hospital include: Management of: International Assistance, emergency response, elective in state and inter state transfers (both ground and air) and international evacuations and marketing.
Dr Orawusi graduated from the College of Medicine; University of Lagos in March 2000 and upon the completion of his internship at same institution (LUTH) proceeded for his NYSC posting at the Police Training College, Ikeja Lagos State in July 2001.
He worked as a Medical Officer in Holy Trinity Hospital, Ikeja for a year before joining Critical Rescue International in December 2002. Since joining the company, he has obtained hands-on experience in primary health care services, ambulance operations, site clinic administration, occupational health, quality assurance and case management.
In 2006, he proceeded to South Africa to obtain his BLS, ACLS certification for a month internship with Netcare 911 in Johannesburg. He later obtained his Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Birmingham, UK in October 2008 before returning once again the organization.
He is currently the Head of the Primary Health Care services arm of CRI, a role which includes the management of all CRI clinics nationwide, clinical governance, quality assurance and site clinic supervision.
Dr. Adeniyi Olatunji .MD. is a highly skilled anesthetic – intensivist with over 20years in the medical profession. He is a seasoned Physician with expertise in pain management, neo natal emergency and emergency medicine.
He is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where he obtained a degree in medicine and surgery before proceeding for his NYSC by the National Orthopedic Hospital Enugu.
After practicing as a general medical officer for a number of years, he pursued his postgraduate and fellowship program at the College of Medicine Lagos University Teaching Hospital (CMUL-LUTH) where he was appointed Registrar, Internal medicine and subsequently , senior registrar anesthesiology and intensivist at the same Teaching Hospital. He was later employed as the consultant physician Anesthesiologist/intensivist to EKO hospital and has worked as part time consultant to some to leading hospitals in Nigeria.
Dr. Adeniyi Olatunji later embarked on a Management and Administrative training courses at the NETCARE HQ in Johannesburg South Africa. He currently holds a certificate in emergency medicine and disaster management from Lagos State University teaching Hospital.
He is a member of SAWA (society for Anesthesiologist of West Africa), Nigeria Society of Anesthetists, America institute for Ultrasound in medicine, a member of League for Sight, and a certified member of the member of the AHA in ACLS.
He is currently the Chief Medical Consultant to Critical rescue international on management and care of critically ill clients, all form of evacuations, Competencies upgrade of medics, clinical processes and policy formulation.
